The language levels presented here are based on the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR or CEF or CEFRL). These guidelines are universal for all foreign languages across Europe and are widely accepted as the European standard for assessing an individual’s language proficiency. They describe achievements of learners and help educational institutions and employers to evaluate the language skills of candidates for education admission or employment.
